Which 2026 Chevrolet Equinox Is the Right One for You?

The 2026 Chevrolet Equinox is one of the most popular vehicles in our lineup. For its size, you get a boatload of technology, space, comfort, and smiles over every mile. 

All internal combustion engine (ICE) 2026 Equinox models are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. With 175 horsepower on tap, you have the right balance of performance and efficiency. For all-wheel drive models, you can achieve around 29 MPG on the highway, based on EPA ratings. Plus, you have up to 63.5 cubic feet of cargo space inside the very handsome SUV. 

There are three distinct trim levels to choose from—LT and RS, and Activ. Each offers its own personality and list of standard features made to keep those smiles shining—even on the toughest days. Let’s go through each trim level of the 2026 Equinox to see which one matches your personality and budget.  

A great starting point is the 2026 Equinox LT. This is the one offering the most value for money. Yet, there is nothing “basic” about the LT, because it has a lot to offer. It starts with comfort and convenience features, such as heated front seats and steering wheel, a large 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with Google Built-in, and an 11.0-inch diagonal driver information center positioned right in front of the driver.

If you have a sporty mindset, the 2026 Equinox RS is also a good choice. RS means Rally Sport—two names that have been a part of Chevrolet tradition for decades. The sporty look starts with black mirror caps, emblems, badges, and emblems. It also receives a more aggressive grille texture up front. You can add a black roof to offset most colors you choose for the 2026 RS. It also comes with a choice of 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels to finish up the sporty vibe of your 2026 Equinox RS.
