Chevrolet Delivers Fond Memories In Their Annual Holiday Card

When it comes to the holidays, it is always the mothers who keep the traditions alive. They will recall the first trip to the grandparents, taking home the Christmas Tree every year, and the highs and lows of their children as they grow up.

Chevrolet recognizes that the holidays are a time for family. In this year’s Holiday Card to America video, that message has been delivered with memories and fondness of a family that celebrates cheer together.

This is the fifth annual Holiday Card to America video produced by Chevrolet. The first was Mrs. Hayes, a retired teacher, whose 1957 Bel Air Nomad wagon had put her through every year, until it couldn’t. A former student of hers – and a neighbor – brought the classic back to life in time for the holidays.

Every year since, we’ve seen how the connection between Chevrolet and families across America makes for great holiday stories. One such video sees a 1965 Impala convertible brought back to life by the friends of a widower. We saw a matriarch take her first ride in the family’s early 1970s Suburban through town, bringing back memories. Last year, we saw a 1970s pickup truck get a generational ride with father and son outside the farm.

This year, the focus is on the empty-nest mother. She and her husband drove to their children’s cottage in a 1987 Suburban, recalling all of the memories they had in that beloved vehicle – from the first ride together to the pain of growing up. On this drive, the second-row seats are empty. It is just the two of them heading to a holiday gathering.

As with the past four videos, this year’s Holiday Card to America resonates with the idea that authentic and meaningful connections with families, the sense of community, and simply being together are what bring people together in the spirit of the holidays.

In the spirit of this message, Chevrolet went on a Holiday Magic road trip, bringing cheer to select cities across the country. They made stops in San Diego, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta, and up to Detroit. Powered by the Silverado EV, visitors also got to see that 1987 Suburban that appeared on this year’s Holiday Card to America.
